In a nutshell, I’m a storyteller that loves creating new content. Through the images, sounds and words used, I aim to bring stories to life. I adapt to my environments, collaborate well with others and always try to create the best results within the time allocated.

In the past 2 years, I’ve entered the video production realm and self-produced, presented, and edited over seventy-five commercial and personal videos. I’ve also travelled to Dubai and back with my most trusted friends for The Hult Prize, one of the largest social entrepreneurship business competitions in the world, and lived in South Korea for one year while balancing my studies and freelance videography work for a Korean government city.   

I have learnt to communicate clear and engaging messages by immersing myself in a wide variety of storytelling environments. I’ve excelled in debating, business pitch competitions, advertising, travel promotion, corporate videos, entertainment journalism, and even as a DJ.

As an Asian-Australian, I’ve always lived halfway between Asian culture and Western culture. I see this as a great asset as I can objectively step back from a situation and evaluate what is appropriate for the audience in question. With my works, I strive to show people something they haven’t seen before.

Videographer, City Promoter: Jeonju City

BRIEF / Produce and shoot video content to promote the traditional Korean city of Jeonju to Western tourists that travel to Korea as an alternative to popular destinations like Busan and Seoul.

ROLE / Independently prepare a series of videos to promote the relatively unknown city of Jeonju to Western foreigners. I collaborated with government staff, local information centres, businesses and talents to create engaging content.

Project Achievements:

• Earned 25,000 organic views on Facebook over 2 videos promoting the Jeonju International Film Festival

• Freelanced remotely for the government - self-producing, shooting, editing, and presenting 9 videos.

Video Assistant, Foreign Correspondent: The Korea Herald

BRIEF / The team rented an ‘oppa’ (older Korean male) from an organisation that offers tour services targeted to female foreigners.

ROLE / I planned out the video narrative with Korean journalists, gave recommendations for activities that would appeal to Western cultures, and translated for the Korean Male and British Female.

Project Achievements::

• Facebook/YouTube: 160,000 organic views; 2,000 comments and 300 shares.

• 3,000,000 total online views through third-party usage of our footage

• Featured on Spanish and British television news segments about Korean culture.

BRIEF / I sought out to gauge the expectations Asian-Australians had for the film, ‘Crazy Rich Asians'.

ROLE / I carried out all elements of the video production process alone, including preparing and organising the interviews, playing the on-screen personality, video editing and sound editing.

Project Achievements:

• Independently conducted 6 interviews with Asian-Australian university students across 4 locations.

• Carried out piece-to-camera interviews with strangers in a unique adn friendly atmosphere
